On 22 January 2018, a delegation of 98 participants including the Rector, Head of Departments and lecturers from Universitas Pembangunan Pancabudi (UNPAB), Medan, Indonesia has visited Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).  The purpose of the visit is to deepen mutual understanding on the academic exchange between the universities.  This delegation is divided into small groups to discuss in detail in the field of academic and research collaborations.  Amongst other topics discussed were the opportunity of pursuing a post-graduate study among the lecturers, knowledge sharing on facilities and technologies available at UniMAP library and sharing the best practices in research products commercialization and entrepreneurships among UniMAP lecturers and alumni.  The delegates were taken for a brief tour to the computer labs and language labs available in UniMAP.  Also present during the visit, was YBhg. Dato' Prof. Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal, Vice-Chancellor of UniMAP.  It is hoped that this visit will strengthen the relationships between UniMAP and UNPAB.
