A basic note/instrument/document that has details that are equally known by the parties to a matter. It also refers to a statement of understanding and desire of the parties to cooperate with each other in certain areas without establishing a legal relationship with each other. The parties are not bound by any obligations, financial implication, liabilities or legal liabilities. The MoU is signed between UniMAP and external agencies and is signed by the Vice-Chancellor or the officer he represents in writing and witnessed by the Registrar or the officer he represents in writing. The MoU must be approved by the University Management Committee Meeting. The faculty/Center/Department must submit an application to hold MoU through CIGC (local Mou) and CIE (international MoU) and obtain a legal review certificate from PUU.

An MOA is a instrument that establishes a legal bond between the two parties based on a reply or some promise made. The parties are bound by mutually agreed upon responsibilities, obligations and liabilities. This means that any breach of the terms in the MOA will allow the other party to take legal action against the party making the breach. The MOA is signed between UniMAP and external agencies and signed by the Vice Chancellor and witnessed by the Registrar. The MOA must be approved by the University Management Committee Meeting, Senate (if applicable to academic affairs) and LPU. The Faculty / Center / Department must submit an application to hold an MOA through CIGC (Local), CIE (International) and obtain a legal review certificate from PUU.
